Additional Services
All of these services will be discussed on inspection of your unquilted top.
Preparation
- Pressing quilt top and/or backing fabric
- Joining backing fabric
- Squaring up backing fabric
- Stay stitching pieced borders
- Stitching 'popped' seams
- Preparing custom motifs
All of the above will be charged at £15 per hour.
Basting
A 4" grid of easily removable stitches that will securely hold your quilt top, wadding and backing together.
Use the Price My Quilt tool for an estimate basting fee.
Binding
This service offers a 1/4" finished width straight-grain double fold continuous binding with mitred corners.
You should provide sufficient 42" wide fabric, uncut; I am happy to advise on the amount of fabric required and the Price my Quilt tool calculates an estimate.
Two levels of service are offered:
- Machine stitched to quilt front only:
£1.50 / linear foot - Machine stitched to quilt top and hand finished on reverse:
£2.50 / linear foot
