OK - I am still failing miserably at writing regularly! I have registered with Twitter - maybe being limited to 140 characters will help, in some ‘reverse logic’ way!
I have just finished the 96th and last block required for my own scrap quilt - I am determined to get one personal project finished in 2009! Good luck to all of you trying to get quilt tops ready in time over the next few weeks.

King Alfred Quilters show is next weekend and we have lots of quilts to show! There will be a raffle with a fantastic 90″ x 90″ blue and cream quilt made by the group as first prize, plus other prizes. As a ’thank you’ to all my customers as at July 1, and also the local quilt store owners, I have entered a ticket for each of you. I hope one of you will be a lucky winner - good luck!

How do people find time to blog and twitter? Four months have flown by since I last wrote here!
Things are going really well for Fir Tree Quilting. My work schedule is quite steady with a lovely mix of all-over and custom work. I think it will always be a thrill to see such stunning quilt tops being revealed by such modest quiltmakers.
The highlight over the last few months has to have been a review of my website in the May issue of British Patchwork & Quilting - it was fantastic to see it there (thanks, Anne!). All credit really must go to my website designer and son, Ben, - you know I couldn’t do it without you!
The website has been tweaked a little, with a Review page added. Clients submit them optionally and independently via FreeIndex - any comments on how helpful you find such reviews?
Quilt show season is well and truly here - one of my own groups, King Alfred Quilters, is preparing for its show on July 11/12th at East Challow Village Hall, Wantage - there are some fabulous raffle quilts to win! And of course, there is the Festival of Quilts to look forward to - and train for, there is so much to pack in!
Enjoy the summer - it’s looking like it will be a sunnier one. I will try to not let another four months go by before I post again!
